Optical Injection Locking: A tutorial
Updated: Mar 18, 2019
Optical injection is a phenomenon that the light from a mater laser is shined into a slave laser to frequency and phase lock the slave laser's output to the master laser. The video below shows change in the optical spectrum (slave laser's output) and linewidth (measured using self-heterodyne method) when tuning the wavelength of the slave laser to the master laser for optical injection locking. The experiment setup is as follows.
